National – Past President’s Annual Dinners – Notes of Evening

Since the idea of an Annual Meeting/Dinner for Past Presidents was discussed in 1956, formulated in 1957 and implemented in 1958, “notes/minutes” have been kept of those attending, topics discussed and interest in SASA AGM business, which was held in prior to the Dinner. Although today, the partners/spouses of Past Presidents are invited to participate, it was a “men only” meeting/dinner until 1972 when it was agreed that wives could also attend. Prior to then, the wives met for supper and an evening at the theatre.
